Thank you for selecting the Henry F. Shaffner House. In preparation for your arrival, we have made every effort to insure that your room meets the highest standards in housekeeping and maintenance. If any detail has been overlooked, please contact the front desk at Extension 25.
Listed below are a few of our house policies and services:
- A complimentary glass of wine and cheese are served each evening in the sunroom from 6:00- 7:00pm. If you desire additional wine or beer, it may be purchased. Please ask to see our beverage list. As we have our alcohol permits, outside alcohol is not allowed in the common areas of the house but may be consumed in the privacy of your room.
- A non-refundable reservation fee of $9 will be charged to the card at the time of reservation. This fee will be applied to the total bill at the time of check-out.
- CancellationPolicy: Cancellations Sunday - Thursday require one 7-day notice. Within 7 days, the full amount will be charged unless the room can be rebooked. Cancellations for Fridays, Saturdays and holiday dates require one 14-day notice. Within 14 days, the full amount will be charged unless the room can be rebooked. Early departures are included in this cancellation policy. The entire balance will be charged for cancellation of multiple rooms and/or multiple nights.
- Breakfast is served in the dining room from 7:30- 8:30am Monday through Friday and from 8:30- 9:30am on Saturday and Sunday. If you are expecting company and would like for them to join you, please make arrangements with us the prior evening. There will be a charge of $12 plus tax per additional guest. We are very sensitive to special dietary needs and ask that they are brought to our attention at least the day before breakfast.
- The office is open from 3:30pm to 9:00pm daily, 8:30am to 11:00am M-F and 9:30am to 11:00 am Sa-Su. When the office is closed, incoming calls cannot be transferred except in the case of an emergency. After 9:00pm please dial 25 on your room phone if you need assistance.
- Smoking is permitted only on the outside deck and upstairs veranda. Evidence of smoking inside the facility will result in a cleaning charge of $250.
- Health codes restrict open access to our kitchen. If you would like anything from the kitchen, please do not hesitate to ask us for assistance.
- Any robes or linen removed from your room will be added to your bill.
- Long distance calls cannot be charged to your room. Please dial 9 and use your telephone calling card or credit card.
- Each room is equipped with high-speed wireless access to the internet. If you should experience any problems with the connection in your room, please ask us for assistance.
- For your convenience, irons and ironing boards have been provided in your room. Hair dryers are available upon request.
- We are not equipped to handle wake up calls. Please do not hesitate to ask our staff if you have questions concerning the alarm clock instructions.
- Check-in time is 4:00pm, office opens at 3:30 pm. Check out time is 11:00am and an hourly fee may apply after 11:00 am. Call for early/late check-in or late check-out.
